FLEISCHMOORE

"Long after the demise of humanity, the unstable remains we left behind live on. You find yourself within the depths of a long extinct world, and with no knowledge of who you are or how you got here, your only goal is to move forward, and live to see what your destiny is."

What kind of experience should I expect?

This game is a first-person movement slasher, and partially a shooter. The main idea is that the faster you go, the more damage you do. You are given a simple, yet powerful set of movement options which can be used to gain immense speed, and then unleash that speed upon your victims in the form of high-damage attacks. It is mainly inspired by games with strong movement and combat, like ULTRAKILL and Bloodthief. There are currently 4 different enemy types, each of which provide something different, and require slightly different methods to each kill.

The game is only short, consisting of 4 levels and a tutorial. The replay value is currently non-existent, however, the game saves your speed, kills, and secrets collected, and if you are good enough, you can get the target value for all these stats, which is a sort of 100% completion criteria. Fleischmoore has a beastiary also, where you can read about each of the 4 enemies, and learn some interesting story elements about them.

What does the future hold?

For now, not much. This game took me 7 months to make, but when I started it,  I was a much worse game dev than what I am now, so sometime soon I plan to start from square one! So far, only chapter 1 is out, and not even the complete chapter. I still have a bossfight to make. When I've recreated the entire game as it is so far, I may release it as an "enhanced demo", and then after that, I'll release every chapter as I make it. I expect to make 5-6 chapters total, but we'll see how it really turns out once everything is planned out. I can't say when each chapter will be ready, as I am just one guy, doing all of the art, modelling, programming, music, level design, and everything else you need to do to produce a fully functional game, so if you like the potential of this game, follow my account on here and subscribe to this YouTube channel, which I may use in the future to advertise: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv7qYXe2DJ1OYDb0sKxGA3w
